How-To Guides
Ask a question in the Agri Forum
The Agri Forum is where farmers, extension officers, and agricultural experts help each other. A well-asked question often gets a useful answer within a day.
Ask a question
- From the Dashboard, tap Agri Forum.
- Tap + (or Ask).
- Pick a topic / category — for example Crops, Pests & Diseases, Markets, Weather.
- Type a short, specific title.
- In the body, give enough context for someone to actually help (see below).
- Attach a photo if it's relevant.
- Tap Post.
You'll get a notification when someone replies.
What makes a good question
Good questions get more, faster, better answers. Cover four things:
- What crop — "sweet potato", not just "my garden".
- What problem and when — what you see, when it started, how fast it's spreading.
- Where you are — province / district, and recent weather (lots of rain? dry spell?).
- A clear photo — taken in daylight, close enough to see the affected part, with a healthy part next to it for comparison if possible.
Compare:
"My plants are sick, help" — almost no one can answer this.
"Sweet potato in Jiwaka — yellow patches on the leaves and the roots feel soft when I pull one. Started about a week after heavy rain. Photo attached." — anyone with experience can give a real answer.
Reply, like, and follow
The forum gets better as more people use it.
- Reply to someone's question if you've seen the same problem and know what worked.
- Like / upvote answers that helped you so the best ones rise to the top.
- Follow a topic (for example "coffee") to get notifications when new posts appear in it.
Tips
- Keep it focused. One question per post is easier to answer than three rolled together.
- Update your post when you find the answer. "Here's what worked" helps the next farmer with the same problem.
- Be polite — most replies come from volunteers.
