About
Lemongrass is an aromatic tropical grass widely grown in PNG for culinary use, herbal tea, and traditional medicine. It is extremely easy to grow, virtually pest-free, and produces abundantly with minimal care. The strong lemon-scented leaves and stalks are used in cooking, tea, and as a natural insect repellent.
Health Benefits
Contains citral with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Used traditionally for fever, colds, digestive ailments, and pain relief. Lemongrass tea aids digestion and relaxation. Natural insect repellent.
Market Requirements
Stalks should be fresh, firm, and aromatic. Bundle 5-10 stalks together. Dried leaves for tea should be properly dried and aromatic.
