About

Galip is a tall indigenous PNG nut tree producing oil-rich kernels with a rich buttery flavour. NARI has commercialised galip as a high-value Pacific food product alongside its traditional village use.

Health Benefits

Kernels are rich in healthy fats, protein, magnesium, and vitamin E. Excellent snack food and ingredient for cooking and confectionery.

Market Requirements

Buyers want clean dried kernels free of mould, packed in food-grade bags. Whole nuts in shell can also be sold at village markets.
